The Gingerbread House Preschool is a family-owned preschool and childcare provider serving families in Cranston and Johnston, Rhode Island. Led by moms and childcare professionals Kristin and Allison, the organization emphasizes trusted care, supportive relationships, and engaging early education. Its programs serve children from six weeks through five years, including infants, walkers, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-kindergarten students.
Learning combines the Creative Curriculum with hands-on activities designed to encourage curiosity, academic readiness, independence, and confidence. Children can explore STEAM projects, music, art, yoga, and gardening, alongside daily outdoor play in age-appropriate areas. The program aims to help children build foundational skills and feel excited about kindergarten.
Families receive real-time updates, photos, and messages through the Brightwheel parent app. Safety measures include restricted-access doors, security cameras, fenced outdoor spaces, and CPR-trained staff; professional cleaning and daily sanitization support a healthy environment. The Gingerbread House Preschool operates in Cranston, while The Schoolhouse Preschool is located in Johnston. Both centers offer weekday childcare and invite families to book a tour.
