Gingerly Shop is a sustainable skincare brand that was born during the pandemic crisis in 2020. Founder Laura Ortiz was in search of a safe coral-friendly sunscreen made in the Dominican Republic but couldn't find one that met her standards. With limited knowledge and a small investment, she started Gingerly with just a computer, her living room as a warehouse, and an email to a lab.

Gingerly creates sustainable and Dominican skincare cosmetics, focusing on tourism and daily routines while raising awareness and protecting our precious coral reefs. Their mission is not only to impact themselves and their team but also to contribute to marine conservation and benefit thousands of Dominicans and foreigners. Their products are made with the highest quality standards and emphasize the importance of taking care of our oceans and natural assets.

Gingerly's name reflects their commitment to being careful and caring about the origins and consequences of the products they offer. They also promote water safety through their partnership with Happy Dolphins, providing opportunities for employment and training for new lifeguards in Cabarete. With adopted corals and collaborations with the Maguá Ecological Foundation and Reef Check, Gingerly actively supports coral reforestation and donates 1% of their annual profits to coral conservation.
