Ginosa – Dogs' Angels

Ginosa – Dogs’ Angels OdV is a volunteer association dedicated to protecting abandoned animals in Ginosa, Laterza and nearby communities in the province of Taranto, Italy. Founded by a group of friends united by their love of animals, it helps dogs and cats waiting for homes, including animals in shelters and those cared for in volunteers’ foster homes. The association works to combat stray-animal populations through sterilisation, public awareness and adoptions, helping make room for other animals in need.

Its website features individual profiles that explain each animal’s story, character and needs, and guides prospective adopters through a four-step process: submitting an enquiry, speaking with a volunteer, arranging a home visit and welcoming the animal. Adopted animals arrive vaccinated and microchipped. The association does not charge adoption expenses; adopters pay only for transport, directly to the authorised carrier.

Dogs’ Angels also invites the public to support veterinary care, food, medicines, parasite treatments and shelter supplies through donations, Italy’s 5×1000 tax allocation or association membership.
