Giovanni Tommaso Garattoni

GTG Design Couture is an atelier dedicated to collectible objects and spatial presence, led by designer Giovanni Tommaso Garattoni. Its approach, described as “Design Couture,” treats design as a disciplined process guided by rigor, proportion, and authorship, from initial drawings through realization. The atelier’s first realized body of work is Mirrors of Perception: architectural mirrors conceived, engineered, and produced in carefully controlled editions.

Made in collaboration with master artisans, each piece combines precision engineering with sculptural presence and is designed to shape its surroundings through reflection, mass, and light. Mirrors are available in Special, Limited, and Modular Editions and are produced to order. Alongside these works, GTG develops furniture projects that explore a new language of form.

These are commissioned pieces shaped through dialogue with artisans, collectors, and architectural contexts. Some projects are finished editions, while others remain research-based or commission-led concepts awaiting a suitable patron and setting. Across its work, the atelier emphasizes the relationship between form and material, structure and emotion, creating objects intended to make a deliberate contribution to the spaces they inhabit
