About Girlguiding W.Mercia
Girlguiding West Mercia County is part of Girlguiding UK, a charity supporting girls and young women through local guiding activities. Based around Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, West Bromwich and parts of South Staffordshire, the county is organised into 13 divisions, each with a team supporting members and leaders.
The organisation provides age-appropriate programmes through its Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers sections. These activities give girls opportunities to have fun, build friendships, develop valuable life skills and contribute positively to their communities. Girlguiding West Mercia aims to strengthen confidence, raise aspirations and help girls discover their potential.
The county also supports volunteers and leaders throughout their guiding journey, with access to useful resources and information. It offers member training, including bronze, silver and gold training awards, and shares opportunities to take part in events, meetings and awards. News, a county diary, galleries and information about joining help members and prospective participants stay connected. Girlguiding West Mercia operates from Mercia Point in Wolverhampton and serves communities across its county area.
