About Girl Power Org
Girlpowerorg is an impactful NGO that aims to empower women and girls to become strong leaders in their local communities. Founded by Khalida Popal, Girlpowerorg uses sport and education as powerful tools to promote social inclusion and highlight the valuable contributions of women and girls from all cultural and social backgrounds. They operate in various countries, including Denmark, Germany, Jordan, Turkey, Greece, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, providing meaningful ways for women and girls to connect and thrive.
Through their programs such as the Base Programme, Football Coaching Programme, and Training & Empowerment Programme, they create opportunities for women and girls to participate in sports, receive education, and develop leadership skills. Additionally, Girlpowerorg focuses on shifting old mindsets about gender equality in sports and empowering social leaders through their Leadership Academy.
