About Girls & Boys Town South Africa
Established in 1958, Girls & Boys Town (GBT) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable youth in South Africa. With proven and successful programs, GBT assists between 16,000 to 20,000 beneficiaries annually, focusing on removing obstacles that hinder children from reaching their potential and helping them Shine®. GBT offers care in residence, family, and education settings, impacting the lives of orphaned, abused, and neglected youth.
Through partnerships with NPOs and schools, GBT strengthens communities and provides a unique peer-led approach to developing leadership skills and responsibility in young individuals. Accredited by major national regulators, GBT's Shine® Programme guides its therapeutic care for at-risk children.
