About Girsh Park
Girsh Park is a 25-acre community park in Goleta, California, owned and operated by the nonprofit Foundation for Girsh Park. Since opening in 1999, it has offered space for outdoor recreation, sports, community programs, and gatherings. Its facilities include baseball and soccer fields, a multi-sports field, basketball courts, a fieldhouse, a community room, picnic areas, a playground, and the Harriett Phillips Meadow. The park has hosted youth and community programs, including Dos Pueblos Little League, Santa Barbara Soccer Club, AYSO, and Goleta Valley Dog Club.
Girsh Park also provides site rentals and event reservations, subject to availability and park policies. Visitors can consult the park map and contact the organization to request a permit. The foundation invites community members to support park operations through donations, sponsorships, and its brick donor program. A commitment to water conservation is reflected in the use of reclaimed water for its grass and landscaped areas. Girsh Park serves as a shared local resource for recreation and community life.
