GitanaTeam

Gitana Team is the offshore sailing team of Groupe Edmond de Rothschild, bringing together sailors and technical specialists to compete on the world’s oceans. The team develops and races high-performance Ultim multihulls, including the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild, known as Gitana 18, a 32-metre trimaran. Its work combines offshore competition with the preparation, testing and technical development of its boats and onboard systems.

Led by skippers including Charles Caudrelier, Gitana Team takes part in major ocean races and pursues sailing records. Its heritage includes notable victories in the Route du Rhum, and its current activities focus on preparing its latest Maxi for competition. The team shares updates on its boats, skippers, races and achievements through news articles, photography, video and the monthly FlyingOffshore series. It also presents the people behind the operation and the history of the Gitana fleet. As part of Edmond de Rothschild’s broader family-owned ecosystem, Gitana Team reflects a longstanding interest in competition, performance and technological innovation.
