About GITMO
The Gruppo Italiano per il Trapianto di Midollo Osseo (GITMO) was established in 1987 as a hub for medical professionals specializing in bone marrow and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for hematological, oncological, and genetic diseases. With nearly 100 Italian Transplant Programs under its wing, GITMO focuses on social solidarity, technological advancement in transplants, and the biological foundation of bone marrow and stem cell transplants from various sources. The association offers training, institutional meetings, events, and active studies such as the VEN DEC Studio and opportunities for employment within the field.
