Giunta Storica Nazionale is an Italian institution dedicated to supporting and coordinating historical research. Established in 1934 as the Giunta Centrale per gli Studi Storici, it brings together a network of national institutes covering ancient history, the Middle Ages, modern and contemporary history, the Italian Risorgimento, numismatics, and the Domus Mazziniana. Its work includes organizing conferences and study days, awarding scholarships to early-career researchers, providing educational activities for scholarship recipients, and publishing scholarly research.

The Giunta also maintains relationships with Italian historical societies and regional history organizations, and represents Italy in international historical scholarship, including through collaboration with the Comité International des Sciences Historiques. Among its major initiatives is the Bibliografia Storica Nazionale, an annual record of historical publications produced in Italy, including works in other languages. Its Aquarius project aims to make archival collections from the Giunta, national institutes, and partner organizations accessible online.
