Gizmo-CdA is Coeur d’Alene’s nonprofit community makerspace, bringing together art, design, technology, tools, and people through hands-on learning. Its 11,000-square-foot workshop offers members and visitors space to explore creative projects, build practical skills, and develop confidence with support from experienced mentors. Facilities include a wood shop, pottery studio, and technology lab, along with equipment and materials for projects such as making stickers and creating 3D prints.
Gizmo offers memberships, adult classes, and programs for kids and teens, including summer camp and mid-day activities. Classes range from single sessions to multi-week courses and are open to everyone, with no membership required. Visitors can also book one-on-one mentor hours for tool training, reserve equipment, or attend a walk-in tour. The organization supports educators and North Idaho College students through learning resources, a lending library, and related programs. Located on the North Idaho College campus, Gizmo-CdA welcomes makers of all ages to learn by doing, connect with their community, and bring their ideas to life.
