Gladstone Athletics

Gladstone Athletics Club is a community athletics organisation in Gladstone, Queensland, built around fun, family and fitness. Originally established as the Gladstone Amateur Athletics Club around 1956, it was incorporated in 1980 under its current name. The club is affiliated with Little Athletics Queensland and Queensland Athletics, and offers a competitively modified athletics program for participants aged four through to mature age, including people with a disability or impairment. Its membership has remained steady in recent years, making it one of the largest little athletics clubs in the Central Coast region.

The club’s home ground hosts regular training and competition activities, as well as school and Port Curtis interschool athletic carnivals. It also holds an annual Combined Events Carnival open to athletics clubs across Queensland. Gladstone Athletics Club is supported by volunteer committee members who oversee areas such as coaching, registration, results, uniforms and equipment. The club welcomes new members and provides information about fees, important events, coaches, sponsors and club activities through its website.
