Welcome to Glandore Harbour Yacht Club (GHYC), the busiest little Yacht Club in West Cork. GHYC has grown from humble beginnings into a thriving sailing club, while preserving its informal family focus. Our members' dedication has enabled us to establish a clubhouse and pavilion from where we run our operations.

During the season, we host regular racing for our home fleets of Dragons, Squibs, and Dinghies, with league racing on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Our Dinghy Fleet races from April to November, competing every Sunday. We also organize various trophy events in addition to the league races.

Our sail training activities encompass the National Schools Programme and the Summer Sailing School, offering ISA sail training courses for our junior members aged 9-16. These popular courses cover a wide range of sailing skills and interests. We are proud of our team of instructors, most of whom are our own graduates, who ensure a fun and educational experience on the water.

GHYC also hosts the renowned Glandore Classic Regatta biennially since 1992. In addition to our on-water activities, we have a bustling social calendar with events such as Curry Nights, BBQ's, and formal club dinners. Our club is run by dedicated volunteers who work as a cohesive team, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere filled with good craic.
