Gulf Layer Breeder Company (GLBCO) is a Saudi Arabian poultry business specializing in commercial layer breeding and the supply of day-old chicks. It is the exclusive distributor of Hy-Line in Saudi Arabia, the wider GCC region, and Yemen, under a distribution agreement signed in 2016. GLBCO produces and distributes Hy-Line W-80 Plus commercial layer chicks, with a stated production capacity of 10 million chicks per year. Production began in Saudi Arabia in September 2020, following the placement of the company’s first parent-stock flock, supplied by Hy-Line.

The company says its chicks are produced using modern farm and hatchery technology and under the supervision of technicians with more than 35 years of poultry-industry experience. Its operations include farms in different locations in northern Saudi Arabia and hatcheries positioned away from the farms. The W-80 Plus layer is promoted for high egg production, lower feed consumption, and strong, distinctive eggshells. GLBCO serves poultry customers across its distribution territories and provides technical resources and customer contact services.
