Glendelvine is a traditional rural estate in Perthshire, set along the banks of the River Tay about five miles downstream from Dunkeld. Its activities include farming, forestry, commercial and residential property lettings, and field sports. The estate offers holiday accommodation in the former riverside home of Miss Georgina Ballantine, now available as a holiday cottage.
Fishing is a central part of Glendelvine’s offering. Its River Tay beat is known for salmon fishing, with excellent fly water and capacity for up to five rods. In 1922, Miss Ballantine caught a 64-pound salmon there, a British record that remains unbeaten.
The estate also hosts a traditional family shoot, with challenging high birds over varied terrain. Guests can arrange two consecutive days, with bags of up to 150 birds per day, as well as smaller mini-driven and rough-shooting days. Seasonal activities include pigeon shooting, duck flighting and deer stalking. Through its accommodation, fishing and field sports, Glendelvine offers visitors access to a range of rural estate experiences in the Perthshire countryside.
