Glendhu

Glendhu is a privately held lifestyle development on the western shore of Lake Wānaka, New Zealand, set within the high-country Glendhu Station and scheduled to open in 2027. Designed as a land-led community, it brings together 42 architecturally considered homesites, a 19-hole golf course by John Darby, and more than 2,000 hectares of preserved open space. Its approach is to tread lightly, build responsibly, and let the landscape guide development.

The course is shaped around the natural contours and links traditions, with practice facilities, short-game areas, and a putting course. A clubhouse is planned to include dining, changing facilities, a Pro Shop, and gathering spaces. A limited number of residences are offered privately by enquiry; they are described as eco-led, durable, and designed to sit lightly in the setting. Founding golf memberships are also available in limited numbers ahead of the course opening, with early playing access and a role in the club community.

Residents and visitors can enjoy lake access, trails, mountain biking, fishing, watersports, and nearby skiing.
