Gliding Stars of Erie

Gliding Stars of Erie is an adaptive ice skating program based in Erie, Pennsylvania, helping individuals with disabilities build confidence, independence, and community through skating. Since 1999, the organization has supported skaters’ physical, social, and emotional growth, creating opportunities to learn and participate in a welcoming environment. Its program brings skaters together for a season of skating, with schedules and updates available to participants and families.

Each season culminates in an ice show, where every skater can perform and celebrate their progress. The show is a highlight for skaters and families, showcasing the confidence and pride developed on the ice. Gliding Stars of Erie invites individuals to join as skaters, volunteers, or supporters, and offers ways to get involved and donate.

The program skates at Mercyhurst Ice Center in Erie, while the organization’s mailing address is a PO box in the city. Through its skating program and community involvement, Gliding Stars of Erie helps make the ice a place where participants can grow, connect, and shine
