About Global Health Uganda
Global Health Uganda (GHU) is a non-profit organization that was established in 2010 by health scientists from Makerere University, University of Minnesota, and Michigan State University. GHU serves as a collaborative platform for scientific research, particularly in Uganda, by providing the necessary research infrastructure. The organization values excellence, teamwork, integrity, and beneficence in all its endeavors.
GHU offers a range of services, including research grants management, where they efficiently manage and monitor research funds. They also specialize in childhood neurodevelopment research and the care for acute childhood illnesses, with over ten years of experience in these areas.
GHU's vision is to be a leading center for child health, neurodevelopment, and interventions research in Uganda and beyond. Their mission is to promote child health by conducting and facilitating high-quality, relevant research in these areas.
The objectives of GHU are to increase research output and utilization in child health, neurodevelopment, and interventions, provide infrastructure to support collaborative research, and develop the capacity of young scientists in these fields.
