Global Irish Genealogy provides bespoke Irish family-history research for clients around the world. Led by historian and genealogist Amy Bracken, the service combines genealogical records with on-the-ground research to help people investigate their Irish roots. Clients can enquire through the website and begin with a free 30-minute consultation to discuss their goals, expected outcomes and likely research timeframe. Amy then provides a tailored quotation, with options that may include hourly research or a package. Once commissioned, research is carried out with updates along the way, and findings are delivered by email in a report. Clients can also request a follow-up call to discuss the results.
Amy brings specialist experience in Irish history and genealogy, including more than a decade working on historical television programmes for the BBC, RTÉ, National Geographic Channel and others. She holds an MPhil in Modern Irish History from Trinity College Dublin and is pursuing a PhD at the University of Edinburgh on Irish women who emigrated to Britain in the nineteenth century.
