Global Kyokushin

Global Kyokushin Budokai (GKB) is an international martial arts community founded by Hanshi Dr. István Adámy, a 9th dan karate master and direct student of Mas Oyama. The organization works to preserve Oyama’s legacy and develop and share Kyokushin knowledge, emphasizing physical, mental and spiritual growth. Its teaching brings together karate, throws, groundwork and self-defence, including Newaza, Goshin and Kyusho. GKB connects practitioners internationally through professional contacts, joint training, seminars and tournaments, and welcomes full members, partner members and interested learners.

GKB also provides a multilingual digital knowledge base featuring instructional videos and books. Its publications cover Kyokushin foundations, techniques, kata, kumite, grading, character development and training methods. Titles include a three-part Kyokushin Karate series, a book presenting 23 kata, and Global Kyokushin, which describes the martial art as a long-term path of development. The books are available as e-books, with recent releases offered in 13 languages. Through education, publications and events, GKB aims to pass on Kyokushin knowledge to practitioners and future generations.
