The Global Nutrition Report (GNR) serves as the world’s foremost independent evaluation of global nutrition, established in 2014 as a result of the Nutrition for Growth summit. It is driven by a multi-stakeholder initiative comprising governmental bodies, donor organizations, and civil society, all guided by a commitment to combat malnutrition in its numerous forms. The GNR provides comprehensive assessments through the Nutrition Accountability Framework, interactive Country Nutrition Profiles, and the Commitment Tracker, which monitor progress towards global nutrition targets.

With a vision for a world free from malnutrition, the GNR aims to inform and inspire action through data-driven evidence. Its mission focuses on enhancing accountability and encouraging improvements in policies and practices related to nutrition and poor diets. GNR’s governance includes an Independent Expert Group that ensures the quality of its analysis and conclusions, bolstered by support from PATH as the report host.
