Global Sustainable Agriculture & Environment

The Global Initiative of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment is a charitable, not-for-profit organisation focused on advancing sustainable farming and supporting a more secure food future. It promotes innovative farming and farm-management practices that use system-based approaches and natural resources, including crop and soil microbiomes, to improve agricultural productivity, food quality, livelihoods and environmental health.

The initiative’s objectives include sustainably increasing agricultural productivity and food quality, strengthening regional socioeconomic sustainability, supporting ecosystem health and climate mitigation, and examining how farming practices affect soil biodiversity and planetary health. Its activities include research, training programs, collaborative projects and the Journal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment. The organisation also features initiatives such as the Crop Microbiome Survey, MICROWILD and Vine Microbiome, and invites partners and community members to collaborate.

Through its research, events, updates and training opportunities, the initiative works to accelerate the development and adoption of nature-based solutions. Its overall approach connects agricultural innovation with food security and environmental sustainability, aiming to help farming systems become more productive while protecting the natural systems on which they depend.
