About Global Governance and the European Union
Global Governance and the European Union (GLOBE) is a groundbreaking project funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 programme. With a budget of 2. 5 million euros over the next three and a half years, GLOBE aims to address the strategic priorities identified in the EU Global Strategy.
This includes areas such as trade, development, security, climate change, migration, and global finance. The project brings together a consortium of ten partners from eight countries, consisting of top European and international academics and policy-makers. GLOBE seeks to provide policy-makers, academics, and the general public with an analytical understanding of the current state of global governance.
Through new theoretical and methodological approaches, it aims to identify the major roadblocks and recommend strategies for enhanced global governance. The project also endeavors to equip national and European policy-makers with tools to navigate future challenges and opportunities in a multipolar world. By developing forward-looking trends and scenarios, GLOBE strives to contribute to a more effective and coherent global governance framework.
