Glostrup Karateklub

Glostrup Karateklub, Yujo-kai is a family-oriented karate club in Glostrup, Denmark, welcoming participants aged six and older. Its name means “where friends gather,” reflecting a community built around friendship, respect, inclusion, and shared activity. The club teaches traditional Shotokan karate in a modern, educational setting, with opportunities for newcomers and experienced students alike.

Training is designed to accommodate people with different backgrounds and needs, and the club offers dedicated groups including para-sport, children’s beginner classes, and other training teams. Prospective members can attend a trial session, held on the first Wednesday of each month, with separate timings for children aged six to nine and participants aged ten and above. Alongside regular instruction, Yujo-kai organizes club events and competitions, and its members take part in tournaments featuring kata and kumite.

The club also shares training videos, provides information about club clothing and membership, and maintains an active social community. As a member of Danish karate organizations and Glostrup’s local sports association, it supports ongoing development through instructor education and guidance
