About Grup de Naturalistes d'Osona
The Grup de Naturalistes d'Osona (GNO-ICHN) is a dedicated organization established in November 2000 to unite individuals passionate about the natural heritage of the Osona region. As the territorial delegation of the Institució Catalana d’Història Natural since 2002, the GNO-ICHN is committed to the study, conservation, and dissemination of local natural heritage through a variety of projects and activities.
The group offers hands-on involvement through numerous initiatives, including the installation of nesting boxes for the common owl and various ecological restoration projects. Their "Sortides Naturalistes" program features a wide range of free naturalist outings, promoting public engagement and education from March to December. With a focus on collaboration, the GNO-ICHN facilitates community participation in ecological preservation efforts and natural history exploration.
