GoalieUp is a Canadian goalie-rental service that connects hockey teams needing a netminder with qualified goalies available to play. Describing itself as Canada’s leading service of its kind, GoalieUp helps teams fill lineup gaps, including last-minute requests, through its website and Android and iOS apps. The platform supports ice hockey and ball hockey games in 5v5 and 3v3 formats.

For clients, the process starts by specifying the number of goalies needed, game calibre, and any gender requirements, then selecting the location, date, and time. GoalieUp matches the request with goalies whose experience and preferences suit the game. Clients can rate their goalie and provide feedback afterward.

Goalies create a profile with their calibre, preferred game formats and hockey types, and travel range. They receive notifications about matching opportunities, review game details, and apply to play. GoalieUp also handles payment for completed games, with higher earnings available for late games or short-notice bookings.
