About Goats On The Go
Goats On The Go is a brand that was founded in 2012 by the Steele and Steenhoek families in Ames, Iowa. These families were driven by a shared passion for practical conservation, sustainable agriculture, and rural living, and wanted to find a way to expand their small farms beyond hobby-scale production. This led to the creation of Goats On The Go, which allowed them to produce high-quality food while avoiding the pitfalls of conventional agriculture.
In 2021, the Steele family became the sole owners of Goats On The Go and took on the responsibility of managing its rapidly growing network of independent, local targeted grazing affiliates. They have also been expanding the brand with complimentary offerings.
At the forefront of Goats On The Go is a strong conservation ethic. The founders believe in being temporary stewards of the earth that God created. They view the land as being loaned to them for their benefit and His glory. Their approach reflects their attitude toward Him and His gifts.
