Gobierno Abierto Ecuador is the official portal of Open Government in Ecuador. Their aim is to promote greater citizen participation in public affairs and encourage governments to be more transparent, responsive, accountable, and efficient. Gobierno Abierto Ecuador offers various products and services to achieve these goals. They have developed the First Action Plan for Open Government in Ecuador, which consists of 10 commitments and is the result of a national co-design and co-management process involving civil society organizations, academia, and the public sector. Additionally, they have a weekly virtual space called Gobierno Abierto en Acción where they share information about the Open Government model and its implementation in Ecuador.

This space features contributions from various actors in the public sector, civil society, academia, and other interested parties. Furthermore, Gobierno Abierto Ecuador promotes initiatives related to Open Government that are not necessarily part of the Action Plans. These initiatives are driven by different entities to strengthen transparency, access to information, integrity, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and citizen participation.
