Gob Squad

Gob Squad is a UK and German artists' collective that specializes in creating performances and videos that celebrate the beauty of everyday life. With a team of seven core members, Gob Squad works collaboratively on the concept, direction, and performance of their work, often inviting other artists, performers, and technicians to join in on specific projects. Their unique approach combines elements of theater, art, media, and real life, with their work being showcased not only in traditional venues like theaters and galleries but also in unconventional spaces such as houses, shops, underground stations, car parks, hotels, and even on the street itself.

Gob Squad aims to challenge the boundaries between reality, entertainment, banality, and utopia, encouraging their audience to become active participants in their performances. Established in 1994 in Nottingham and now mostly based in Berlin, Gob Squad regularly produces and presents their work in both the UK and Europe, and has toured extensively around the world
