Fishnet – für Kinder in Afrika is an Austrian association dedicated to supporting children and communities in Africa through development cooperation and practical assistance. Its work is guided by the principle of helping people help themselves, with the Go Fishnet Project in Kisumu, Kenya, serving as a trusted local partner. From Austria, the association manages the Happy Kids Academy, sponsorships and a range of community projects.
Its initiatives include preschool and primary education, campus construction, business start-up support, farming and a girls’ project. Fishnet also organizes events and other activities to raise donations, and invites people to contribute through donations, sponsorships or membership. A Fishnet shop and options for employee and customer gifts offer additional ways to support its work.
The association is listed as an eligible donation recipient by Austria’s Ministry of Finance, so donations can qualify for tax benefits. It also holds the Austrian donation quality seal. Through its programs and fundraising, Fishnet connects supporters in Austria with educational and development initiatives in Kenya
