About Go For Broke National Education Center
Go For Broke National Education Center is an organization that aims to educate and inspire character and equality through the virtue and valor of World War II American veterans of Japanese ancestry. They preserve the legacy of Japanese American WWII veterans through various programs and initiatives. Their offerings include in-person and virtual educational programming, the Go For Broke Monument, the Defining Courage exhibition, and the management of the Hanashi Oral History and Special Collections.
The organization takes its name from the motto of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, a unit composed of Japanese Americans who risked everything to win the war against the Germans in Europe and to fight against racial prejudice at home. Located in Los Angeles, California, Go For Broke National Education Center is committed to honoring and commemorating the contributions of these veterans
