Hero Braces is a veterinary-owned, prosthetist-designed brand that creates custom, lightweight braces to help dogs recover from limb injuries and stay active. Made in the USA, its braces are tailored to each dog rather than offered in standard sizes, accommodating pets of different breeds and body shapes. The product range includes knee braces for CCL or ACL tears, ankle braces for Achilles ruptures, and wrist braces for carpal hyperextension.
Hero Braces presents bracing as an option for dogs that cannot undergo surgery, while recognizing that recovery may also involve adjustments, therapy, and owner commitment. Its designs aim to provide durable support without relying on fabric that may stretch or tear, and are intended to let dogs return to walks once the brace is fitted. The company describes its products as veterinary recommended, research backed, and among the lightest available.
Hero Braces also provides educational resources and guidance for pet owners and veterinary professionals, drawing on the experience of its founder, Ben Blecha, and its focus on helping pets live fuller, more active lives
