Golden Gardens

Golden Gardens Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue and nature sanctuary located in Starke County, Northern Indiana, within an Eastern White Pine forest. Its mission is to foster health and harmony among local animals, people, and the shared ecosystem. Through four initiatives, the organization works to care for the natural environment, support the safety and management of local animal species, and provide educational resources online.

The sanctuary offers adoptable pets and an adoption application, and welcomes community support through volunteering, donations, partnerships, and other forms of assistance. It also provides Trap-Neuter-Return services for community cats in Starke County for an all-inclusive fee of $60 per cat. For residents elsewhere in Northwest Indiana, the organization shares information about regional groups offering discounted spay-and-neuter and TNR services. Its website also lists low-cost veterinary clinic events, including cat spay or neuter procedures and related care. Golden Gardens Sanctuary connects people with animal welfare resources while promoting responsible care and stewardship of the local ecosystem.
