Insta Gold is presented as an alternative version of Instagram for users seeking additional features beyond those in the official app. The site describes it as a modified Android application, also referred to as Instagram Plus, with tools for customizing the interface and managing privacy. Its listed features include downloading photos, videos, Stories, Reels, and IGTV content; using dark mode; changing themes, fonts, and colors; and controlling notifications or removing ads.

Privacy options are said to include hiding online status, Story views, typing indicators, and read receipts. The app also offers profile-picture zooming, text and comment copying, follower-status indicators, and support for switching between multiple accounts. The site provides information about the 2026 version and instructions for installing its APK, including enabling installation from unknown sources.

Insta Gold is described as free, but the site cautions that modified apps may carry account-suspension risks under Instagram’s policies. It distinguishes the app from Instagram’s official version, which it says offers official security and regular updates
