The Association Golfique de Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire (AGS) is a community golf association based on land provided by the town of Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire, France. Its aim is to make golf accessible to a broad public through affordable rates, welcoming activities and instruction for players of different ages and abilities. The club offers a golf school for children aged 7 to 17, individual and group lessons with two instructors, and monthly activities for beginners and women. Experienced players can take part in friendly and official competitions, while men’s, women’s and senior teams represent the association in regional events. Its paragolf section provides adapted sessions for people from hospitals, associations and rehabilitation settings, supported by qualified instructors and volunteers.
The course lies on Île Pinette, a Natura 2000 site beside the Loire, around ten minutes from Nantes railway station. AGS combines golf with environmental care, using native vegetation, limiting irrigation and pesticides, and supporting local wildlife. Its biodiversity work has earned the French Golf Federation’s silver label, renewed in 2025.
