Golfmatties

Stichting Golfmatties is a multicultural, sports-minded foundation and community of friends united by a passion for golf and care for one another. Founded in 2019, it brings together golfing friends, including business professionals, around friendship, good humour and enjoyment rather than competition. The group regularly hosts friendly golf events on courses in the Netherlands and abroad, including destinations in Belgium, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Scotland and Germany. Its gatherings pair the game with socialising and shared food, including Surinamese snacks.

Alongside its golf activities, Golfmatties supports children’s and orphanages in Suriname, particularly in Nickerie. Its contributions include school supplies, clothing, computers, refrigerators, home maintenance and renovations, outings, and extra treats during the holidays. The foundation also draws on the practical expertise of its members and contacts, including healthcare professionals, educators and tradespeople, to assist the homes it supports.

Golfmatties welcomes people interested in joining its friendly community. Its activities include golf competitions, member initiatives and fundraising, bringing people together to enjoy sport while making a practical contribution to others.
