About Golfstat
Golfstat is the official source for college golf scores and statistics. Founded by Mark Laesch in 1984, Golfstat began as a program to keep track of Laesch's own golf statistics. It quickly gained popularity among colleges, including Oklahoma State, and expanded to provide statistics for both men's and women's golf teams.
In 1989, Golfstat was approached by the NCAA to solve computer ranking issues, leading to their role as the administrator of computer ratings and rankings for NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA championship selection committees. Golfstat offers a range of services to college golf programs, including official scoring for NCAA championships, free tournament software, and statistical services and software. They also provide live scoring for top collegiate events, featuring action photo galleries, video clips, and player interviews.
Additionally, Golfstat awards the Golfstat Cup to the collegiate golfer with the lowest yearly adjusted scoring average. For junior golfers and high school players, Golfstat offers the PREP Report, sponsored by PING, which provides insights and match-ups to actual college golf tournaments using their adjusted scoring average formula. Golfstat also caters to college golf fans with the Family, Alumni, Friends Report (FAF), allowing them to follow their favorite college team or player.
They are the official scorer for international amateur team championships, provide live scoring for major amateur events, and offer statistical information for Golf World magazine's College Golf Poll Section. With a commitment to golf, life, and faith, Golfstat is a trusted name in the golf industry
