Gondoskodás Gyermekeinkért Alapítvány is a Hungarian nonprofit foundation working to improve the quality of life of people with severe and multiple disabilities and support the families who care for them. For more than 25 years, the foundation has drawn on its members’ experience as parents to provide practical assistance and share knowledge with families, professionals and the wider community. Its work includes obtaining developmental equipment and organizing purposeful leisure activities for people with high support needs.
The foundation also runs parent-support activities, offering families opportunities to exchange experiences and access practical help. In partnership with the Fejlesztő Gondozó Központ in Budapest’s 15th district, it develops and delivers many of its initiatives. A central priority is raising funds to establish supported housing in Budapest, so that people with severe and multiple disabilities can live safely and with care when their parents are no longer able to support them.
Through educational resources, news and public engagement, the foundation promotes understanding and inclusion. It welcomes donations, personal income tax allocations and volunteers
