Goorse IJsclub

Goorse IJsclub is a skating club based in Goor, the Netherlands, welcoming people who want to learn to skate, improve their technique, or enjoy an active and friendly atmosphere on the ice. The club describes itself as “the coldest club with the warmest welcome” and holds training sessions at IJsbaan Twente. Children aged six and older can learn to skate on the indoor rink, while new members are also welcome on the outdoor rink. Interested participants can join a trial training before deciding to take part.

The club’s activities include training for skating diplomas in Enschede, an annual youth event, and, when natural ice is available, a skating three-day event and short-track races. Members may also take part in the annual alternative Elfstedentocht at the Weissensee in Austria. Goorse IJsclub offers club and training-group subscriptions, and invites people to become donors. The club shares news, membership information, and contact details through its website.
