Goose's Scuba Shack

Goose’s Scuba Shack is a scuba diving retailer and training center in Dyer, Indiana, serving the Northwest Indiana diving community. Founded in 1982 by Doug Gossage, the shop aims to help divers enjoy the underwater world with quality equipment, instruction, and practical support. It sells scuba gear from leading brands and offers equipment rentals, maintenance, inspections, and repairs to help keep gear in good condition.

The shop provides scuba certification classes, including training with open-water dives in the Chicago area, as well as SSI Scuba Skills Updates for divers looking to refresh their abilities. Divers can also join winter pool sessions and local quarry dives to practice and build experience. For those seeking adventures farther afield, Goose’s Scuba Shack organizes regional and international dive travel led by dive experts. The business also hosts events and supports customers with equipment advice and trip preparation. Whether someone is beginning their scuba journey or returning to diving, the shop offers equipment, education, and opportunities to connect with a local diving community.
