Gossos

Stiftung Gossos, also known as Fundació Gossos, is a dedicated animal welfare organization based in Switzerland, operating internationally to improve the lives of street dogs. Initiated by Gigi Oeri, the foundation aims to rescue, treat, and support abandoned animals in collaboration with local authorities and veterinarians. The organization recently embarked on establishing a state-of-the-art dog shelter on Ibiza, designed to accommodate about 120 dogs, providing them with medical care and rehabilitation before rehoming.

A critical aspect of their mission is raising awareness among pet owners about responsible pet care, including subsidizing spay and neuter procedures to control the local dog population. Since beginning operations, Gossos has successfully facilitated the adoption of over 200 dogs, ensuring thorough vetting of potential owners. Future plans include offering training programs for both dogs and their owners, as well as educational initiatives for schoolchildren. Ultimately, all proceeds and donations support the foundation's ongoing commitment to animal welfare.
