Gottwalds Akvariefisk is a small aquarium shop based in Middelfart, Denmark, specializing in aquarium fish for both community tanks and more experienced enthusiasts. Its stock includes popular species as well as rarer fish and catfish sourced from around the world, with new arrivals appearing regularly. The shop updates its stock list as often as possible, typically once a week, and shares news about incoming fish on Facebook.
Customers can draw on the owner’s more than 50 years of practical experience keeping cichlids and other aquarium fish. Advice covers topics such as a fish’s adult size, aquarium requirements over time, and feeding needs. The business also offers aquarium products, including Naturefood quality feed in varieties for fish, catfish, and shrimp, along with frozen food, catfish caves, and driftwood.
Gottwalds Akvariefisk can help arrange transport for fish to much of Denmark, including Zealand, Funen, and Jutland. Fish are packed in bags with pure oxygen for journeys of at least 24 hours, and are not sent by post.
