Goudse Boksvereniging

Goudse Boksvereniging is an amateur boxing club in Gouda, founded on 1 September 1971 and affiliated with the Dutch Boxing Federation. It welcomes men and women of all ages and experience levels, from beginners to advanced boxers, and emphasizes respect, control, fitness, and technique. Members train together while choosing their own level of intensity, with sparring focused on skill development rather than hurting one another.

The club offers three weekly sessions at the St. Aloysius gymnasium on A.G. de Vrijestraat: Tuesday evenings, Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings. Training costs €3 per session, paid in cash, and school students can attend their third session in a week for free. No booking is needed for a trial visit; gloves are available to borrow during the first sessions. Participants should bring indoor sports shoes, comfortable sportswear, and a towel. Most sessions are led by trainers holding Dutch Boxing Federation trainer-coach qualifications. In addition to boxing instruction, Saturday training can include conditioning circuits, combinations, and sparring.
