The Gould Family Foundation, established in 2007 by John and Debra Gould, is dedicated to enhancing health outcomes for the poor and underserved communities in sub-Saharan Africa. Focusing on grassroots health organizations, the foundation provides vital services including medical equipment procurement, biomedical support, clinical training, and community health grants. Notably, the foundation launched the Fund for Maternal Newborn Health Clinics in 2014, aiming to support mothers, infants, and children in need.
With partnerships including the Segal Family Foundation and LifeNet International, the Gould Family Foundation has successfully delivered essential health resources and created impactful clinical training programs that have significantly improved healthcare skills among their partners. Their biomedical initiative employs trained engineers and technicians to ensure the sustainability of medical equipment in various locations, including Uganda and Madagascar.
In addition to international efforts, the foundation supports the Youth Mountain Adventure Program, offering underserved youth transformative outdoor experiences. By engaging with community-driven organizations, the Gould Family Foundation remains committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those they serve.
