Gower Folk Festival is a small, non-profit, volunteer-run celebration of folk music on the Gower Peninsula in Wales. Held at Weobley Castle Farm, a working sheep farm beside the tidal salt marshes of Gower’s north coast, the festival combines live music with a distinctive coastal setting and views across the Loughor Estuary. The three-day event usually takes place on the second weekend in June; the next scheduled dates are 11–13 June 2027.
Alongside its music programme, the festival offers participatory workshops where guests can develop their musical skills with guidance from visiting experts. Families can enjoy free children’s craft activities on Saturday and Sunday, while Sunday morning features Folk Tails, a fun dog show. Local Morris side Sweyn’s Ey also performs. On-site camping is available at an additional cost, and refreshments include food and real ales from Gower Brewery, provided by Chris and Emily Mabbett. Dog-friendly and community-focused, Gower Folk Festival brings together music, activities, food and camping for a relaxed weekend in a remarkable farm and castle setting.
