About OECD Innovation
GPAI (Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence) is a multi-stakeholder initiative that aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice in the field of AI. Committed to the OECD Recommendation on Artificial Intelligence, GPAI brings together experts from science, industry, civil society, governments, international organizations, and academia to foster international cooperation and responsible development of AI. Through their four working groups on responsible AI, data governance, the future of work, and innovation and commercialization, GPAI assesses scientific, technical, and socio-economic information to understand the impact of AI and promote its responsible development.
With a Council and a Steering Committee supported by a Secretariat hosted by the OECD, GPAI also has two Centers of Expertise in Montreal and Paris. These centers facilitate research, practical projects, and collaboration across various sectors and disciplines. Additionally, GPAI offers membership opportunities for countries and participation opportunities for experts from various sectors
