Girl Power Flag Football League is a Tampa Bay-area program dedicated to helping girls learn and compete in flag football in a fun, supportive environment. Presented by Pirate Bay Flag and partnered with Pasco County Parks & Recreation, the league offers opportunities for players at different ages and skill levels, with games held in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.
Its girls’ programs include 5v5 divisions for kindergarten through fifth grade and 7v7 divisions for middle- and high-school players. The league also promotes tournament teams, giving players a chance to build experience and prepare for school teams. Registration fees listed for the fall 2023 leagues included a jersey and flags, with shorts included in some divisions.
For younger children, Flag Academy serves ages four to seven and focuses on building a strong foundation while having fun. The organization also highlights girls’ flag football tournaments and directs families to Pirate Bay Flag for boys’ NFL Flag programs.
