Gorczański National Park is a protected natural and cultural landscape in the Gorce Mountains of southern Poland. Its work combines nature conservation, research, environmental education, and responsible access for visitors. The park shares information about local plants, wildlife, fungi, geology, history, and Highland traditions, with the fire salamander highlighted as its symbol.
Visitors can explore walking, cycling, horse-riding, and winter routes, as well as educational trails and themed excursions covering subjects such as mountain streams, forest habitats, wildlife, geology, and regional heritage. Practical visitor services include ticket sales, trail and safety information, access and parking guidance, accommodation and camping information, and listings of guides and shelters. The Educational Centre hosts a natural history exhibition that follows a route from a stream valley to the mountain meadows; the park also offers educational programs, classes, and workshops. Other visitor attractions include the Gorce plant garden and historic sites. Through publications, maps, films, events, and volunteer opportunities, Gorczański National Park helps people discover and understand the region while encouraging care for its natural and cultural heritage.
