GPO Museum is an award-winning visitor attraction inside Dublin’s iconic General Post Office, a building closely connected with Ireland’s history. Its exhibitions bring the story of the 1916 Easter Rising and the events that shaped modern Ireland to life, tracing a period from revolution through to more recent times. Visitors can explore historical displays, artifacts, interactive screens and an audio-visual presentation, with information designed to make the people and events accessible and engaging.

The museum offers self-guided visits as well as guided experiences, including the Rebel Rising Tour, which covers the Easter Rising, the Irish War of Independence, the Anglo-Irish Treaty and the Irish Civil War. Special history and architecture tours and Irish-language tours are also available at selected times. Its education programme includes school packages and resources for teachers.

Visitors can plan and book tickets online, and gift cards are available. The on-site courtyard café is open to the public, serving coffee, freshly baked scones, salads, homemade soups, sandwiches and other treats.
